Client Brief : Design and create customised buttons to be attached to handmade crochet poppies.

We were approached by our client, who on behalf of the British Red Cross, creates handmade crochet poppies every year for the poppy appeal. For the middle bit of the poppy, they wanted something a little bit different and something to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. It was decided on wooden buttons laser cut from laserply wooden sheets, with engraved text to commemorate the anniversary.
